Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling

Summary:
Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets is the second book in a series of 7. The story is about a young boy who lives with his cruel relatives. He attends a school for magical people. During the summer a house elf named dobby comes and visits Harry warning him if he goes back to Hogwarts terrible things will happen, and they do. People in the school are becoming petrified due to an unknown cause. Harry and his friends discover the thing that is petrifying all the students is a Basilisk. They go to the Chamber of secrets and find the Basilisk and Harry Slays the great snake.

Review:
Overall I thought it was a good book. The beginning was kind of slow but as soon as Harry left the house to Hogwarts all the action started. With the intertwining storyline it kept me guessing. The new characters being introduced gave the book an edge over the other. I find myself questioning the integrity of every character at one point or another. Even at the end of the book I’m still questioning some of the characters true intentions, but I guess I’ll have to find out in the next book.

Quote:
“Voldemort.. is my past, present and future...” I choose this quote because it really embodies who Tom Riddle really is. This is because Voldemort embodied apartof himself into the book. This allowed himself to maintain his power and youth.
