The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman

Summary:
Thomas Friedman writes a story about the 21st century’s history in the economic world. This book analyzes globalization during the 21st century and explains all you need to know about it. With a metaphorical title, which means that the opportunities in the economic field are equal to all and how all need to remain competitive around the world in different countries, Friedman does an excellent job in this work of literature.

Review:
I learned many great lessons about the economic world that I will take away from this book and use in life if I choose to enter that field of work. It made me think about how hard it would be to be an economist the world today as well. The lessons learned in this book were interesting as well as helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in economics.

Quote:
“Immigrants are always hungry and they don't have a backup plan. Young Chinese, Indians, and Poles are not racing us to the bottom. They are racing us to the top. They do not want to work for us; they don't even want to be us. They want to dominate us.” I feel that this quote resembles how true this book fits to real life, and how all who read this book can walk away with learning valuable life lessons in the economists perspective.
