I'm lost. I have no clue what the metal box is, what the Glade is, or where he's traveling to. I don't think I've heard of this book before, but it sounds a little familiar. From what you wrote, it sounds like the Glade is a place where they're stuck because they were sent there by accident. How young are these characters? What's a keeper of runners? I'm completely lost right now.

This book seems to be a good read. I believe that it was written from a young boy's perspective and not an adult. THe maze, I think, symbolizes the adult world to a small kid. There are monsters and "boogeymen" out there to get you. It is frightening to a kid to learn what the outside world has instore for him.

I do not understand what the metal box is. The Maze Runner seems like a fun book to read because of the plot. You didn't really describe what the glade is but I am going to guess that it is a large field of some sort. I hope Thomas doesn't get eaten by the monsters!

This book seems very interesting. I think whenever a book is written from the perspective of a younger person the mood of the writing is a lot different, and sometimes it's a nice change of pace.

  5. Based on the brief summary of the book, I'm pretty confused. However, it seems like it's a good book for people who enjoy fiction. To me it seems more realistic when the characters speak more of a slang because that's how people talk in today's world.

I'm not that sure what this book is really based on. I was kind of lost throughout the entire summary. I see how the theme relates to the summary because of how you said they have to study maze patterns to find their way home. I'm not positively sure what this metal box is that you speak of but it could just be a crumby car or something. Other than that I don't think this is something I would enjoy reading because it didn't draw my attention much.

This book seems really weird. I think if i picked reading this book I would loose intrest because it sounds really boring. I don't get this metal box thing, and studying mazes is pretty odd. The theme being never give up makes sence because if your in a maze there's no other choice, you can't give up since you have to get out somehow.
