Summary:
This is about a boy Logan Thibault who goes into the marines. When he is there he finds a picture of a girl and ever since then he has good luck, and it saves him from a lot of things that happen over in war. His friend Victor tells him to go find the girl but Logan thinks that's stupid and that it's not the picture that's giving him luck. His friend then dies and Logan feels he needs to go find the girl. He walks across country looking for her and runs into her ex husband who is a cop and he is a sleaze. Logan ends up working for Elizabeth, the girl in the picture, and her grandmother. Elizabeth and Logan fall in love. Elizabeth has no idea about the picture and why he's there until her ex-husband tells her but twists the story to try to say he is stalking her and she gets upset. Her husband then tries to attack her. Elizabeth's son Ben walks in and gets upset and runs outside where there is a huge Hurricane. Logan gave Ben the picture so he now has the luck. Ben tries to go up in the tree house but slips. Elizabeth and the ex husband try to save Ben from falling in the rapid river, along with Logan. The ex-husband and Logan end up falling down into the stream of water and the ex-husband dies, but Logan survives. Logan's dog saves Ben. Logan explains to Elizabeth about the picture and the luck and they got back together and became a family.
Review:
I think that this was a very good book. This made me think about destiny and how everything happens for a reason. I learned that such a little thing can lead you to the right way. If he hadn't found this picture it would have never led him to the girl

"It was strange to think of the unexpected twists a man's life could take." This stood out to be after i had finished the whole book. That was in the beginning so I thought it was funny how he had no idea what was coming. There was a huge twist about how the picture led him to this girl Elizabeth and fate had took over.
